Figs with Pistachios, Goat Cheese, and Brown Butter Truffle Honey
Figs are in season, and I can't get enough of them! I love them plain, in a salad, on pizza. In fact, I love them so much I don't think I'd turn them down any way you served them to me. I also can't get enough truffle right now, so I thought, why not marry the two?! Throw in some crushed pistachios, crumbled goat cheese, and a dash or two of coarse kosher salt, and you have yourself one OUTRAGEOUS appetizer. All the flavors complement one another so well and are perfect this time of year when figs are in their prime. If you ask me who the dish's star is, it's the brown butter truffle honey. It sweetens everything perfectly. These figs turn out gourmet and only take five minutes to make. A win-win in my recipe book!
